How to Create an Observation in Wingify

As you analyze and evaluate your website, you make several observations to understand why visitors aren’t taking the action you want them to take. Wingify lets you record all your observations.

In Wingify, you can create observations in two ways: you can either create them using the Plan > Observations section of the Wingify app or use the reports section of the different Wingify Behavior Analytics tools. Once you have created an observation, it appears in the observations dashboard.

To create an observation using the observations dashboard, perform these steps:

1. Log in to your Wingify account.
2. Go to Plan > Observations. The Observations dashboard appears.
3. To create a new observation, click Create. New Observation dialog appears.
4. In the New Observation dialog, configure the following:
   • Description: Enter the description of your observation. The maximum character limit for the description is 200.
   • Page URL: Enter the page URL where you made the observation.
   • Attachments: Upload any additional attachments (if any) in support of your observation.
   • Labels: Enter label(s) for your observation. This enables you to filter out the observations list based on the labels defined.
5. To save your observation, click Create.

To create an observation using the different Wingify Behavior Analytics tools (Goals, Funnels, Heatmaps, Session Recordings, Forms, Surveys), log in to your Wingify account, and from the Behavior Analytics section, select the tool where you wish to create an observation.
