#Overview

The Wingify Journey Analytics dashboard is your home base for all reporting activity. It is where you create, organize, and revisit every board and report, and where you get a quick pulse on your data as soon as you log in.

To access the Wingify Journey Analytics dashboard, log in to your Wingify account and click Journey Analytics from the left navigation panel. For more information about this step, including what to expect if your account is still being set up, see Get Started with Journey Analytics.

#Understand the Journey Analytics Dashboard Layout

Journey Analytics is organised into three views: Overview, Starred/Recents, and Browse. This section covers Overview first, followed by Starred/Recents and Browse, the two views you navigate to from there as your requirements change.

Each view is suited to different situations and requirements. Whether you are returning to recent work or searching across everything your team has built, recognizing which one to use helps you find the right content faster.

This article further outlines what each view displays and how to use it, how the dashboard is laid out, and the different ways to create, organize, and find your reporting content.

#Use the Overview Page

Overview is the default landing page for Journey Analytics, surfacing the content most relevant to your current work. It is organized into three parts: Ask Wingz, Recently Viewed, and a listing of your boards and reports. From here you can:

#Query Your Journey Analytics Data using Wingz

At the top of the Overview page, the Ask anything bar lets you query and analyze your data in plain language using Wingz. Rather than manually analyzing a metric, funnel, or flows report from scratch, you can pose your question directly and receive an answer. Optionally, you can also mention a specific board or report by name in your prompt to focus the answer on that data.

Tip: For the most accurate answer, always name the specific board or report you want the query to focus on. Without a name, Wingz may search across multiple reports and return a broader, less precise answer.

To submit a query:

  1. On the Overview page, click into the Ask anything bar.
  2. Enter your question in plain language.
  3. Click the send icon
    , or press Enter.

Example queries:

  • Why did the drop-off between Add to Cart and Checkout increase this week compared to last week?
  • Which step in the Signup Funnel is losing the most visitors right now?
  • What's driving last month's spike in the Blogs Monthly Trend report?
  • Summarize what changed on this board since I last viewed it.
  • Which segment is contributing most to the recent dip in this metric report?

Submitting a query opens the Wingz panel on the right. Wingz shows its reasoning as it works, including which report or funnel it's checking, the date range and measurement it's using, and the events it's mapping your question to.

Tip: Click Notify to navigate away while Wingz is still working. This ensures you get notified when the analysis is ready. Click the Expand icon

in the panel header to view the conversation in full screen, or the New Chat icon
to start a new conversation. If you start a new conversation, you cannot go back to the previous conversation.

Once the analysis is complete, Wingz shares its findings directly in the panel.

Note: If Wingz cannot reach a conclusive answer, for example, because an event isn't tracked or a report returns no data, it explains what it checked and what it would need (a specific report, event names, or a URL) to investigate further.

#Access Your Recently Viewed Boards or Reports

Below the query bar, the Recently Viewed section shows your last 10 viewed boards and reports, displayed as cards. Use the arrows or the page dots below the cards to move between them. From this section, you can jump back into recent work without searching for it. If you have not opened anything yet, this section remains empty.

#Browse Your Boards and Reports

The section at the bottom of the page organizes your boards and reports through the following controls:

  • Starred and Created by me tabs**:** Toggle between content you have marked as a favorite and content you have created.
  • All / Boards / Reports toggle**:** Within either tab, restrict the list to a single content type (boards or reports).

For details on what each column in the list depicts, see Understand the Board and Report Listing Structure.

You can also create a new board or report directly from this page using the + Create button. For more information, see Create a Board or Create a Report.

Use Overview when returning to content you were recently working on or have marked as a favorite. For more information, see Locate a Board from the Journey Analytics Home (Overview) Page.

#Use Starred/Recents

Click Starred / Recents in the left navigation to open a flyout with a search bar and two tabs, Recents and Starred. This is the fastest way to jump to a specific board or report without leaving the page you're on. This is especially useful when you're working elsewhere in Journey Analytics and only need a quick check on a report. For more information, see Locate a Board from Starred/Recents.

#Use Browse to Search Everything

When neither Overview nor Starred/Recents surfaces what you need, such as a report a teammate built weeks ago, move to Browse to search the full catalog.

Click Browse in the left navigation panel to open the full catalog of every board and report you have access to, not only the ones you've starred or viewed recently. For more information, see Locate a Board Using Browse.

For details on what each column in the list depicts, see Understand the Board and Report Listing Structure.

As the number of boards and reports in your account grows, browsing the full list becomes impractical. You can filter and sort the list to narrow that list down. For more information, see Filter/Sort Boards and Reports.

You can also create a new board or report directly from this page using the + Create button. For more information, see Create a Board and Create a Report.

#Understand the Board and Report Listing Structure

Journey Analytics uses a consistent list structure across the Overview and Browse pages. It consists of the following columns:

Column What it shows
Name The board or report title, displayed with a type icon that identifies whether the item is a board or a specific report type. * - Board * - Metric Report * - Funnel Report * - Flows Report
Last edited The date or time the item was last modified. Hover over the value to see a tooltip with the exact editor's name and timestamp.
Views The number of times the item has been opened. Note: This column appears only on the Browse page.
Creator An avatar identifying who created the item.
Star icon Marks the item as a favorite, adding it to your Starred tab. If the item is already starred, clicking the icon again removes it from the Starred tab.
More options menu Click the More options icon to Rename, Duplicate, or Delete the item.

This article outlined how to navigate the Journey Analytics dashboard. The next step is creating and organizing content that lives on the dashboard. For more information on this, see Working with Boards and Reports in Journey Analytics, which covers building a board or report, adding existing reports to a board, and managing your list of items through starring, filtering, and sorting.
